Robyn - With Every Heart Beat ( Tong & Spoon Wonderland Remi
Sometimes I don't realise just how lucky I am to be allowed to play some of these tunes aloud to loads of people. Very special track to me and loads of my lot!!!
Electribe 101 - Talking with myself (Frankie Knuckles mix)
Ho, Ho, Ho and seasonal greetings from the Surgery where we are sipping on a Quad Voddie and Monster as we type. I'm going through some of my classics ahead of my NYE set at Skuba in Folkestone - which I am excited and buzzed as anything I've done before - and we've come across some absolute rare beauties such as this one by the late and great FK!

Lilly Wood & the Prick - Prayer in C (Niels Van Gogh Bootleg)
Looking for some more filthy bootlegs of some recent hits - and found this one of Prayer In C, from Niels Van Gogh - yep, the man behind Pulverturm from years ago - the breakdown in the mid of this track is pretty intense! Unexpected I think!!!
Candi Staton - You Got The Love (Deep Chills Remix)
I've used this in my Eclectic Headfuck mix that I've done this evening - which is available here and on Mixcloud - this is one of the best remixes of Candi Staton's iconic anthem I've heard in a very long time, perfect for an early set - which is rather convenient!!!

Jakatta - Feeling Blue
One of the more unheralded tracks from the 2003 album that the great man that is Joey Negro produced - this shows off his versatility in a big way!

Huxley - I Want You
There is so much good material out there right now for my Autumn mix which I'm going to be doing on Friday evening - this is one which is a strong contender to start out my mix - though if I don't use this version then the Club Rub is a very strong candidate - am in the process of thinking just where I want to take this season's mix!

The Last Weekend
Been a good last couple of days for me. The outlook that I am thinking about does seem to be heading in a different direction than it seemed to be going for the last months and so that's a great thing to be experiencing. There does seem to be a stabilisation in my life which I have been without recently, so I can think a lot more clearly than I have been of late and that is not a bad thing let's be fucking honest about that!
Had a brilliant weekend firstly playing at the Secret Garden near Ashford which was and rewarding in my eyes - need to remember to get in contact with the owners of that place as thee does seem to be the likelihood of further work there in the coming weeks and months which would be welcomed!
Also had to say au revoir to Semelino and his lovely Jade as they head to South East Asia for the next few months leaving me in charge of the business whilst they are abroad which is something that I am very much looking forward to getting my teeth into!!
Well, I'm tired and need to get to bed, so will talk tomorrow!!

Eddie Amador - House Music (Uto Karem Remix)
Holy Cunt!!
Can you believe it? 2014 marks the 20th birthday of Yoshitoshi, the seminal record label founded by Sharam and Dubfire AKA Deep Dish in 1994. To start the celebrations they have re-released one of my favourite tracks from the late 90s! Along with the remastered original the package includes remixes by Uto Karem, Robosonic & Anthony Attalla with more remixes to come in the coming weeks.
Robert Babicz - Mercury Bells (beta v3)
I like sharing new stuff with people, and this is as new as it gets - this is just majestic from Babicz, looking forward to getting my hands on this gem soon!

This Despicable Government
I was going to write tonight about some positive thoughts about my life and what I have got to look forward to doing over the coming weeks and months. Alas, I'm angry, but not with friends or family or colleagues but our delightful and pleasant government.
It seems that Call Me Dave has decided to go tow to tow with Farage and try to out-UKIP UKIP, almost in a race to the bottom of the fucking barrel. Glorious...
In what I suspect is a crude and somewhat sadistically calculated move - the government has decided not to continue to support attempts to prevent migrants from being harmed when they try to get into Europe from North Africa.
Human rights organisations have raised fears that more migrants and refugees will die in their attempt to reach Europe from the north African coast. The hard-pressed Italian navy will be left to mount what search-and-rescue operations it can. The new European operation will have only a third of the resources of the Italian operation that is being phased out. The Italian government got some €30m in support for the Mare Nostrum operation ever since the Lampedusa tragedy last year when 500 migrants died trying to get to Europe. That was in one single crossing. ONE.
How can a government basically say that the lives of those who are not born in the West are inferior and less important than those who are. These 'unwanted' economic migrants are people, Dave. They are brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers. They are not shit to be scraped off the bottom of your Kurt Giegers...
Absolutely fucking despicable.
Barbara Tucker - Everybody Dance (The Horn Song)
One last tune for this evening - and its a classic - one of my all time favourites - this will be getting caned come NYE I suspect!
Guy J - Once In A Blue Moon (Original Mix)
This is so beautiful - on Bedrock this is the mighty Guy J!

In A Rut
Good evening,
Really hard and difficult day at work today. It's really difficult to be working at the moment with so much on my mind and being able to perform and give a service to customers, without any thoughts of negativity and doubt of myself and my abilities. It's also really pissing me off that this is a constant mood right now, without any sign of any light at the end of the tunnel.
I have to be patient with myself and try to give myself a bit more TLC. Difficult for me to be able to do that in such an demanding job but it needs to be done for me to be able to cope right now.
Snapped at my boss at work over the smallest thing which could have escalated but thankfully didn't. People are worried about me right now, strangest thing of all is I'm almost beyond the point of not caring anymore - waiting for the inevitable to happen.
Whether it's a day, a week, a month, a year or a decade - I've convinced myself that I will take my own life - because there is no way that I can continue to cope with the absurd amount of stress that I put myself under on a daily basis - that will scare people, but I've settled myself with that thought, when the time comes - we'd be ready to do what's needed.
It doesn't feel like the beginning of the end, not even close, but the mood is changing in such a way that - that is more disturbing to me than any thoughts I have had of suicide. All people want is a sense of peace.
Not much to ask.

Best Of Buddies
Morning,
I'm some what fucking shitfaced after an very heavy night in Das Kapital for the old man's 40th - quite a few stories have come out in the last 24 hours that I'd like to talk about this morning - in particular regarding those cuddly cunts from UKIP - who I have seen in the last day or so been getting all fucking paddy with those equally adorable fuckwits of Britain First - yep that's right children, UKIP are getting friendly with an font of the BNP, EDL and poxy National counting Front. There are pictures resonating from Rochester of these equally undesirable fuckers having selfies and pictures taken with each other.
Now, it's quite possible that these cunts just bumped into each other and thought it would be nice and courteous to exchange pleasantries - but actually having your photo taken with the knuckle dragging super cunts of the right must make people question whether UKIP are wanting to be a party of the people, or are they trying to go down the 1933 route - basically, spread fear and hate amongst an indigenous population against minorities, the persecuted and the vulnerable, play on people's worse fears and prejudices and then whack - before you know it - Farage will be High Chancellor. Unlikely, but still...
Farage has said time and time again that he is the leader of a party which are not the establishment - not funded or influenced by certain interests - but surely that's a crock of shit! The MP they have got in the commons was previously an Tory in the same fucking seat - the cunt that is standing in Rochester and Strood is a Tory turncoat - they have been financed by former Tory donors - shit, they've even had a has-been (or is that, never-been?) DJ, record an dreadful absurd song - in an Jamaican accent. This being the same twat who was so against Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, that he performed a record breaking (that's vinyl, to you kids) ritual of said song on his Radio 1 show in 1984. Bonkers.
Now, you may decide to see this rant as pretty standard for someone like myself - but that is besides the point. This party has openly said that it wants to be different from other political parties, but that is just not possible when you're just the same cunts, with a slightly different hue of shit instead of the Tory blue.
And if you do think that, then you're a fucking twat.

Strike - I Have Peace
From the crew who gave the world 'U Sure Do' - remember hearing this whilst at school on the Isle of Wight back in 1997, think it was on one of those Club Anthems albums from back then!!
Orbital - Halycon On and On
In honour of the news today that Orbital is to split up again - thought that this would be a truly appropriate track to put up for you today!
A track that I love to play at the start of a classics set - certainly one that I'll be playing on NYE for definite!!!

The Weekend's Gone...
Evening,
Been quite a good weekend for me if I'm honest! Hammered Skuba on Friday night with my usual blend of old skool anthems and upfront cuts, and got rave reviews from the punters which is what really matters at the end of the day isn't it. Last night on the other hand didn't happen the way I was expecting! We got a call from the bar about midday on Saturday saying that they didn't want anyone to play there last night. So we went to Skuba to hang out with my boys and played solid House all evening long. Cannot complain with that!!
We take a break from the booth for a few weeks as we're heading to London on Saturday morning for one of the usual suspects' 40th birthday and going to seeing the mighty Simian Mobile Disco at XOXO so that should be entertaining and costly to the liver no doubt!

Talking Aloud
Evening,
Had my first session of therapy this evening which was a serious eye opener, there seems to be a awful lot that myself and the therapist are going to have to get through over the next eight weeks. There's no doubt that we're not going to get to the bottom of my issues however I am somewhat hopeful that we may start to unearth what is causing my anxiety, depression and everything that comes with it and how to combat it.
Am I'm happy that I've started this process, of course we are. There is an aspect that concerns me and that is the realisation of having to face up to the fact that what happened to me cannot be reversed. Simple as that. The therapist said that perhaps CBT therapy may not be the way forward and perhaps more of a psychoanalytical process may be more suitable due to my background. So, it is said that CBT does not take into account the sexual abuse such as I what experienced all those years back, and in some instances it can make the original condition much worse.
Hmmm.
One of the big issues is to stop it controlling my life, and having such a detrimental effect on my way of living. Easy to say I know, but that is the bottom line, it would be such a kick in the googlies to those who've supported me through thick and thin if I decided to finish it off. The abuse ended almost 20 years ago and still it's having an overwhelming influence on my life.
I said to the therapist that the victims of crime always get a life sentence. Regardless of the crime. And it's so true. Criminals who cover their tracks can get off scot free if they are clever, victims have to live with the consequences ad infinitum.
Anyway, enough moping around for one evening!
Bakermat - One Day (Vandaag) (Oliver $ & Matthew K Remix)
So good, yet so underused - will be hammering this on Friday @ Skuba!!!
The Orange Theme - Cygnus X (Moonman's Orange Juice Mix)
In a proper Trance mood this evening as you can probably imagine, reliving some of my favourite tunes from that time - here's another with the Remix coming from Moonman (AKA Ferry Corsten)!
Storm - Storm (Club Mix)
Still gives me goosebumps when I hear this in my headphones, cueing up, ready to unleash it on the crowd!
Lustral - Everytime (Way Out West's Sunrise Remix)
Historic, Emotional, Incredible.
Smell it, Feel it, Hear it.
Yep That's Me!!

A bit of a Trancer for the last song this evening - fucking loved this when it came out a few years ago!
16 Bit Lolitas - Nobody Seems To Care
Been a fan of these guys for a good seven years or so, remembering getting Feel I'm Falling on CR2 vinyl when I had my 1210s all those years back - this was on the first Anjunadeep mix think back in 2008 - absolutely beautiful intro me thinks!
St Germain - Rose Rouge (Joris Voorn Secret Mix)
Probably the closest thing I've heard this year that is the audio version of Porn.
When You're Having A Bad Day...
Kosheen - Hungry (Satoshi Tomiie Vocal Mix)
The original is special, but this from the Japanese Wizard takes things up to an whole different level. Perfect for a Tuesday morning.

Traktor S8 - Yay or Nay?
I was extremely excited to see the reports of the S8 coming out and now the images are out and the videos have shown what it can do - some thoughts.
No jog wheels. Which makes me think that this is an mashup of Maschine, the F1 and the Mark 2 X1. Is this going to be for those of us who are using the S4 right now, I suspect it isn't. I think it's going to be used predominantly by DJs such as MK who use the above in their sets right now - it'll be interesting to see what is heard at Fabric tonight where Terry Francis and Davide Squillaci have been premiering the S8 to punters.
Would I get it, probably not immediately, I'm going to be needing convincing that the lack of jog wheels is a positive step, several of my fellow DJs down here are of a similar opinion, one of the very essences of DJing is the ability to be able to scratch - and although I can barely do it, it is an ability that cannot be faked by effects or samples.
What this is however, is an evolution in DJing, just like the Numark NV is for Serato. For Traktor users like myself though, the ever increasing rumours regarding a Traktor software update makes some think that perhaps the S8 is the start of an new evolution of Traktor from NI.
Amtrac - Those Days
Liking this right now!
In Memoriam - Mark Bell
Have to report the very sad and untimely passing of LFO's Mark Bell. Bell was one of electronic music true pioneers and was also responsible for Bjork's seminal Homogenic album. He also had an hand in Depeche Mode's 2001 Exciter album.
Condolences go to all of Mark's family and friends at this sad time.
Culoe De Song - Y.O.U.D. (Original Mix)
Lovely tune this - on Innervisions right now!
Back Into The Groove..
Recognise Palestine!
Today should be an historic day for this country, in the Houses of Parliament this evening, the Commons will vote on whether Britain should recognise Palestine as an independent state.
There is no reason at all for the UK not to recognise Palestine.
I urge you all who come on here to email your MP via here.
Thank You.

Back To The Grinder...
Evening Fuckwits!
Off back to work tomorrow morning after my time away from there and on the whole it has been needed - as I said last night, I'm due to start my CBT therapy on Wednesday and so there is something that I can look forward to in a way. Of course I'm a bit nervous to see how it's going to work, but what has to be done, needs to be done as I do not want to have to be needing to take any more fucking time off due to this fucking illness.
Simple as that.
Nighty Night!
Luky - Ordem
This is out on Infinity right now and has been played by none other than Marco Carola - have a gander!
Sam Paganini - White (Original Mix)
Enjoying this from Drumcode right now, this is from his first studio album titled 'Satellite'. Brutal drums these!
Beautiful! UKIP Put In Their Place...
Have just seen this fantastic picture which has surfaced on Twitter this evening - it's the front of a shop in Rochester where UKIP are hoping to be taking their second Parliamentary seat from the Tories.
Kudos to @chunkymark on Twitter for this.
Solu Music - Fade (Grant Nelson Remix - Wes Clarke Re-Edit)
This was released on Hed Kandi's Disco Heaven album in April 2006 - the Grant Nelson remix is classed as one of the all time classic funky house tracks, the intro edit by Wes Clarke makes it a beautiful track to kick off a Peak time set! Enjoy!
